Ride of Respect

The event is a Ride of Respect for, and in memory of, the late Queen Elizabeth II. starting at Windsor Castle and riding to Central London.

We have been granted permission by the Crown Estate to gather and park on The Long Walk at Windsor Castle and will be laying a Wreath at the Cambridge Gate.
The Ride of Respect will depart from The Long Walk onto the A308 and pass through Old Windsor for London at approx 1230, passing Buckingham Palace on its way to the final gathering point The Mall.
Following this there will be a ride past the Cenotaph and thank you speeches in Parliament Sq before dispersal.

No charge is being made for attendance or otherwise at this event.

Schedule of Ride of Respect Event at Windsor Castle

0900- 1030 Arrival of Rolling Thunder bikes, surrounding roads are closed to allow passage of The Guard, any shut outs will have an opportunity to move to the rear after the Ceremony. Entry via Park St SL4 1LB ONLY, you will not be allowed to enter via A308 Albert Rd.

1130 Briefing for Flag Party at ‘bikes

1150 (approx.) Flag Party will leave The Long Walk onto A308 and ride through Windsor

1205 (approx.) Flag Party will return to The Long Walk via Park St adjacent to the Cambridge gate

1215 (approx.) Wreath laying ceremony at the Cambridge Gate (North end of The Long Walk)

1230 (approx.) Riders return to bikes in readiness for departure.

1250 (approx.) First bikes to depart TLW turning left onto Albert Rd (A308) for The Mall, London

Schedule of Events in London (times are dependant on arrival of the first and last bike)

1415-1445 Ride of Respect arrives at The RV point Northumberland Ave/Whitehall Pl just off Whitehall

1515-1530 Bikes will exit RV onto Trafalgar Sq roundabout for customary parade along Whitehall, past The Cenotaph to arrive at Parliament Square for speeches and dispersal.
